This project involves building a farm house in Plaine du nord, specifically in Tannis, for a client who runs an agricultural activity in the area. The client is based in the United States and owns a large quantity of land for cultivation, but also has a 6000m2 plot of land where he wants to build a farm house to stay when he is in Haiti. The farm house is to have 2 bedrooms, a great room, and a gallery around the house. The client has also specified that the house should be open to the direction of Citadelle, which can be seen from the site at the top of the mountain. In addition to the farm house, the client requires a sanitary block, an outdoor kitchen, a garage, and an open space for tents to host students.
A little workspace in the house can be a small yet functional area that includes a desk and a bookshelf with some books. This space is important architecturally because it serves as a designated place for productivity, learning, and personal growth. Having a dedicated workspace in the house can help promote focus, creativity, and organization. The desk provides a surface for work or study, while the bookshelf offers a place to store and display books, which can serve as inspiration, education, and entertainment. The addition of a workspace with a desk and bookshelf can elevate the overall functionality and design of the house.
The living room with a one slope roof and a wood ceiling is a stunning example of natural beauty in a home. The use of a sloping roof design adds a touch of uniqueness to the living space, creating an elegant and cozy atmosphere. The wood ceiling gives a warm and rustic feel, complementing the natural light that illuminates the room. The top sloped windows are perfectly placed to catch the sunrays, creating a peaceful and calming effect that adds to the beauty of the room. The well-lit living room provides a sense of openness, making it a perfect place to relax and spend time with family and friends. Overall, the living room with a one slope roof and a wood ceiling is a beautiful and welcoming space that adds charm and character to any home.
The farmhouse kitchen is a cozy and inviting space. The granite counter catches the morning sun, while the black hexagonal tiles on the wall add a modern touch. A teapot and cups sit on the counter, inviting you to enjoy a cup of tea. The aroma of freshly brewed tea fills the air, adding to the warm and comforting atmosphere. The kitchen is a place to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of farm life.
